About Shirley Sykes Bracken
Shirley Sykes Bracken is an award winning watercolorist and sculptor.
My watercolor paintings begin with color and chaos. And then I push them towards reality. It’s an interesting process. It takes hours and hours to make them bloom like I want them to. Flowers are my interest. My style is my own!
Shirley was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in the small town of Brandon, Florida. Her parents ran a family business there for 30 years, which inspired Shirley to follow their example. She was the CEO of her own art related business for 18 years.
Now retired she continues creating and selling art in art festivals and solo shows.
Her work has appeared in catalogs including Celebration Fantastic, Gooseneck, Sugar Hill, Charles Keith and Gooseberry Patch.
Her work has been sold in Nordstroms and many other stores.
Her watercolor paintings are included in American Artist Watercolor magazine and Artists of Amelia Island.
Now her work is available here on Fine Art America.
